The FROMART Fondue Moitie Moitie is a finished and grated selection of mainly Gruyere and Raclette or/and Vacherin. It may include some Appenzell cheese, depending on the strength of the Gruyere.
The Gruyere is the basis for the Fondue, while the Appenzell adds a lot of flavor and spice to the mix and the Vacherin keeps the fondue nice and creamy. The perfect winter warmer.
The Swiss FONDUE mix lets you get warm quickly! Pour it into a FONDUE pot, add some white wine, garlic, corn flour and genuine European Kirsch and you are ready to go. Our 1000gm Fondue Mix will feed about six to seven people depending on their appetite.
Serve with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or an Aussie Semillon.
FONDUE, for about 6-7 people (1000 g cheese):
Open the Fondue mix and leave outside for an hour or two to warm up
Add approx 300 ml of Sauvingnon Blanc (New Zealand) to fondue caquelon, heat SLOWLY
Cut the garlic (as much as your company likes it) and add to the wine
Once the wine shows tiny bubbles when cooking, add the fondue cheese to the wine in the caquelon
Add nutmeg, pepper and paprika as you like.
Add 1 tablespoon corn flour mixed with kirsch, or mix with some of the 300 ml of the white wine
Slowly cook on the fire (methylated spirits burner) on low heat directly at the table. DO NOT OVERCOOK!
Whip the whole cheese mix with a SILVER SPOON, this will make the fondue smooth and creamy.
Do not overcook! Bring the fondue close to the boiling point, but don’t let it boil.
ENJOY IN GOOD COMPANY.
